Siemens Ltd. Seoul ‘The Nanum’ Briquette Delivery

Nachtrag: Am 24. Jänner nahm ich als einer von ca. 100 Freiwilligen unserer Firma hier an der Brikett-Auslieferung zu armen Familien in einem kleinen Dorf im Norden von Seoul teil. Per Buglkraxn, per menschlicher Kette und mit kleinen Handwagen wurden Briketts in kleine Lager und Wohnungen verteilt. Die Wege durchaus steil, die Arbeit wirklich anstrengend - ein arbeitsamer Nachmittag, der auch Freude gebracht hat. 

Erstmalig verwende ich fremde Bilder in meinem Blog, die eines offiziellen Siemens-Photografen. Ich werde diese mit '(Siemens)' kennzeichnen.

Meine eigenen Photos sind auch nur Smartphone Photos, die Arbeit war so schmutzig, das ich auch das nur wenig benutzt habe.

Anbei noch mein Text, den ich für den Siemens Seoul newsletter verfaßt habe:

As one of the 100 participants I have not been aware what to expect from Siemens ‘The Nanum’ Briquette Delivery. A bus brought us to the northern outskirts of Seoul, the town changed to country side and the shiny skyscrapers to dirty little huts. In front of a huge pile of charcoal briquettes we left the bus and got jackets, sleeve guards and gloves to protect our suits from the coal dust. Transport of the coal was well organized, by hand carts, back carriers and transfer as human chains the briquettes moved piece by piece to different coal dumps and even to private houses. The settlement is located on hilly ground, the narrow trails are steep and muddy, the unusual physical work soon became laborious. Fresh made Eumook, rice cakes and water helped, after about two hours of work we were happy and ready and received many positive reactions of the people living there.
